Our Chef at "Sugarbird" restaurant has created a variety of 
mouthwatering dishes for lunch and dinner. 

The breakfast buffet now includes scrambled eggs and bacon, 
boiled eggs, various cereals, smoked salmon, fresh fruit and 
much more for € 12,50. Other sweet and savory dishes may be 
ordered off the menu as well.

Our lunch menu includes salads, pastas, classic burgers and 
other tasty sandwiches and freshly baked rolls.


Every night we serve dinner in the restaurant. We have an 
international dinner menu with a touch of Caribbean and 
Oriental influences, including steak, 
pastas and fresh fish dishes.

For our vegetarian guests we also have a choice of vegetarian 
courses. Once a week we organize a 
special dinner and/or a barbecue.

Once a week we invite you for an informal get together at 
the Manager's Party. Free soft drinks, beers and wines.

The bar is open all day and in the evening with a choice 
of cocktails, all kinds of liquors and a wine list that 
includes wines form all over the world. We serve drinks 
at special prices during Happy Hour, 
every day between 5.30 and 6.30 PM

Two Bedroom 

One of the double chalets nr. 22 is a two 
bedroom two bathroom unit with a large 
sitting room and an extended porch.
Ideal for a family or two couples

Cas Grandi

Cas Grandi nr. 21 is a two floor house with a spacious living room 
and kitchen upstairs. Three bedrooms with air-conditioning and two 
bathrooms are located on the bottom level. A large porch surrounds 
the house on both levels. The third deck gives a spectacular view 
over Lac Bay. This is a perfect place for star gazing. Maximum 7 
persons. Fits very well for families with children

Beach Towels
Beach towels are available for free at the 
front desk, they can be changed daily.

Shopping
Our little shop is located in the reception, 
where you can buy some breakfast items, like 
bread, milk, coffee, eggs and a limited 
selection of sun-tanning items, postcard, 
stamps and souvenirs.

Rafts
There are three wooden rafts at anchor in the 
swimming area. The first raft is located about 
30 yards off-shore and the second and third 
raft can be found about 600 yards from the 
beach, near the reef. The third raft on the 
right is meant for our quests. The left raft 
is for textile. These rafts are a good resting 
spot for snorkelers or waders as they make 
their way to or from the reef. Please be careful 
when you are lying in the sun. Because of the 
wind you do not feel that you might get a sunburn.
Use good sun protection.

Diving
Bonaire belongs to the Top 3 of best diving areas 
of the world. The island is known for its beautiful 
coral reefs and colored underwater life. Ask for 
information at the front office about diving 
courses, air-fill, underwater photography etc.
We can introduce you to Bonaire's underwater world.

Bonaire is famous because it has also many shore 
diving spots. You can recognize them on the yellow 
painted stones with a name along the roads.

Windsurfing
The bay at Sorobon is also an ideal location for 
windsurfing. The shallow water and the constant 
on-shore breezes, are assuring a safe and enjoyable 
time for beginners as well as pros. The wind blows 
12-18 knots in September through November and 
reaches 15 to 25 knots during the rest of the year. 
There are two windsurfing schools located next to the hotel.

Beauty Salon
Every day, except on Sunday, between 08.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon you 
can let yourself "be spoilt" by the hands of Judith. She will make 
you feel relaxed and complete. In our beauty salon you can have 
massages, a manicure, a pedicure, a facial or a body scrub. The last 
one should be taken on your second day on Bonaire; this will work 
out perfect for your tanning. Judith has many years of 
experience as a massage therapist

Yoga

Sunday from 8 till 9 a.m. and Thursday from 5 till 6 p.m., 
you have the opportunity to join our Yoga Class. Our yoga 
teacher "Jan" will acquaint you with the rudiments of yoga 
during a relaxing hour on the beach. Joining our Yoga Class 
is free of charge. However, Jan would appreciate a donation
for PASADIA CARINO, a home for the mentally-disabled people 
in the village of Rincon

Snorkeling

The shallow bay is protected by a barrier reef, which makes it an 
ideal place for snorkeling, kayaking and windsurfing. The beach of 
Sorobon is a part of Lac Bay, which has a depth of about 4 feet 
until the reef, which makes swimming a little difficult. You can 
literally walk on the sandy bottom nearly a mile towards the reef 
without even getting your shoulders wet. We do suggest wearing 
water shoes, because of sharp corals, which can hurt your feet. 
Do not forget to put on sun cream, also when you are snorkeling.
The whole Lac Bay area is Nature Protected Marine Park. Therefore, 
motorboats are not allowed in this area.

Sorobon is an ideal place to snorkel. The water is shallow with 
lots of fish. Snorkel equipment can be rented at the reception. 
You can also buy snorkel equipment.

Jeu de boules or Petanque

We have a petanque field. Have fun in competing with guests 
from other countries. You do not have to speak French or 
Portugese to be able to win over your opponent!

Table tennis
There is a roofed table tennis. Once again organise your own 
international competition. Challenge someone for a game and 
you will definitely have a lot of fun together.

Nude Cruise with the Woodwind

Every Monday the "Woodwind" sails out on her nude cruise. 
You sail to Klein-Bonaire or North along the coast. There 
you will have a great snorkel experience. Maybe you will
meet with turtles or dolphins!
A special offer for the guests of Sorobon. You can let the 
trade winds carry you off to fun and adventure on board of 
this big Trimaran. During this three hour trip you will 
get the possibility to explore the scenic reefs of Bonaire 
and on the way back you can enjoy the open bar and the plenty 
of tempting Sailor's snacks. All you need is a towel, 
sun-cream and a smile.

The price is $ 30,- per person. Drinks are included. 
Transportation to get there will be arranged by us and 
the crew of the Woodwind will bring you back to Sorobon. 
Depature time from Sorobon is 2.15 p.m. You can sign up 
at the reception. There is a minimum of four persons 
and a maximum of 26 persons

Kayak

If you do not feel like walking all the way towards the 
reef, you can use one of our kayaks. The kayaks are located 
on the beach. You can also take the kayak out and explore 
the mangroves of Lac Bay. The mangroves, an important part 
of the ecosystem of Bonaire, will lead you through the 
pathways under the canopied growth allowing you to observe 
the varied wildlife. You will find yourself in a complete 
different world, with no other sounds than the sound of 
the waves and the beautiful birds of Bonaire. The paddles c
an be found at the reception. 
Kayaking is free of charge

Library
The library can be found in the restaurant. Feel free to 
take any book or magazine you like. There are books in 
several languages and you can also find some books with 
information about Bonaire, its birds and its underwater 
life. Please bring back those books so that the other 
guests can read them too. If you leave your own books 
behind in the library, it will be highly appreciated.
Also you will find a lot of games to play. Chess, cards, 
Mah Jong etc. 
For our little guests we created a lego corner, with lego 
for all ages, situated adjacent to the games corner and 
the new Dutch section of our library

nonstop flight between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport
